Or to be more accurate, about me.
My main employment is in engineering but I have been designing web sites since 1996. I have completed all 6 courses making up the Open University Certificate in Web Application Development and am now offering my skills professionally. I specialise in site archetecture and coding rather than graphic design so I don't normally create extensive artwork in Photoshop (those who do will charge much more) but can adapt your logo, graphics, photos etc. for web use.
Most small businesses and organisations do not need an expensive, complex web site but do need to project a professional image. I create small but effective, individually designed, sites. I can also turn your design into a working website or check your site for any problems that you may have missed. If you already have a website I can update and maintain it for you at a very competitive rate.
Many people like to design their own web site rather than pay someone else. This can be rewarding and often results in an acceptable design. Unfortunately there are pitfalls that can go unnoticed - it may work as intended on your computer but not on someone else's. Or there may be a feature that you do not know how to implement. I am particularly interested in helping get your site working effectively.
